Bus driver suspended after searching for weapon

A Rutherford County School Bus driver has been suspended after he allegedly searched a male student suspected of being armed with a weapon. Evidently the bus driver, Wayne Barrett, was not supposed to search the student because of safety regulations within the county - - bus drivers are not properly trained to search students for weapons. Bus 91 that travels to and from Siegel High School on a daily basis is the bus that the incident occurred on. Barrett was suspended after a complaint was file

It took watching "Real Time with Bill Maher" for us to learn that U.S. automakers will get a rescue in the form of a $25 billion loan approved by the federal government last week. Although business writers were all over this, we, like a lot of other people, were distracted by all of the $700 billion bailout news.
